Our dogs have very much gotten used to us being home and providing company during the past few years and when ‘the office’ require your physical presence rather than working from home, the worry of ‘who can have Fido’ becomes real.
I aim to provide a personalised ‘home from home’ day boarding service and am licenced to accommodate a maximum of 4 dogs at any one time that have been assessed as compatible to socialise in a home environment and with my dogs. Note that I don’t advertise this as ‘doggy day care’ but day boarding within my home which will include 2 walks, the company of fellow day boarding dogs, feeds and medicines if required.
Online payments accepted in advance by either Paypal or online bank transfers. Details provided on request.
Initially, I will ask you to visit me/my home to see how your dog settles with my springer spaniels and so you can see my set up. After that, I always require a trial day (or half a day if your dog is under the age of 1 year) for acclimatisation. All being well, I will look forward to welcoming your dog on either an ad hoc or regular day boarding when it is required. Note that I am unable to take entire/un-neutered males over the age of 1 year due to behavioural and scenting reasons. Entire/un-neutered females will be taken except when on heat/in season.
Day boarding is for a maximum of 8 hours with delivery times/details to be agreed for each owner.
Day boarding for 1 dog – from £24 per day payable cash or online and in advance
Day boarding for 2 dogs from the same household – from £45 per day
Variations to the above (e.g. half day boarding) can be agreed with owners prior to boarding.
I hold a home boarding licence as issued by the Forest of Dean District Council and also relevant insurance – certificates are on display in my home and can be provided on request.
